Contraindications
What are the contraindications?
As with many applications, there are contraindications to Kambô use.
In the following situations, treatment with Kambô is not carried out:
in case of serious heart problems (bypass, heart failure from stage II)
after strokes or cerebral hemorrhages
after aneurysms or blood clots
after major operations less than 6 months ago
on medication for low blood pressure
within two months after a 5-MeO-DMT or Iboga treatment
in the absence of the mental capacity to make the decision to take Kambó
severe mental health problems (note: depression, PTSD and anxiety are not contraindicated)
for chemotherapy or radiotherapy that is currently underway, until 4 weeks afterwards
when taking immunosuppressants after an organ transplant
Addison's disease or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
after an esophageal rupture
for epilepsy
in case of minors
during pregnancy, or in the first 6 months of breastfeeding
in animals
Increased caution
In some situations there is no contraindication, but the procedure is carried out with increased caution. If the following abnormalities are present, an in-depth consultation is necessary:
When taking immunosuppressants for autoimmune diseases
when taking slimming products, serotonin or sleeping pills
drug or alcohol addiction
for long-term fasting or water fasting, up to 7 days before and after the Kambô treatment
for colon irrigation, enemas, liver irrigation or water-based detoxification 3 days before or after the Kambô treatment
